10 players required for each event
Pairings determined by the Team Captain & Coordinator
The LW-Pro determines the makeup of the foursome by selecting an A, B, C and D player from the players who have registered for the Tournament. Teams will play 2 Best Ball.
A minimum of 12 players is required for the Tournament.
Each team competes for the lowest NET ranking.
WGA golfers pick their partner (two (2) person team) to compete against the playing field with your BEST BALL Shamble. Partner's handicap maximum difference is 10 strokes. Should there be more than a 10 stroke difference in the handicap, the higher handicapped player's handicap will be reduced to the lower handicap + 10
A “Shamble” is a golf format where every member on a team (2 person) hits a tee shot. Following the tee shots, the best shot is selected. Each member then places a ball at the best tee shot and completes the hole by themselves. The best score from one individual member of a team is used for the team’s score on each hole. Gross and Net should be recorded.
In this instance, team is defined as you and your chosen partner.
Magic Putts will be sold.
This tournament will not be recorded to GHIN
This is a favorite format! The morning segment is termed the ROUND ROBIN because each player goes around her foursome playing 6 match play holes against each player individually. Each hole won is worth a point while a tie is worth a half a point each. The top point winners determined at the end of the 18 holes are awarded prizes.
Post lunch play continues as a “Horse Race” between the top point winners from the morning round. This is a four-hole elimination, handicapped, stroke competition.
For those of you who would like to participate in a racing tradition, you may bet on your favorite players. All bets are cash and the minimum bet is $5. Bets may be made on any or all “horse racers” with payouts in cash.
This is a 2 consecutive-day Tournament where each player is allowed to improve their overall score to the better of Day 1 play or Day 2 play on each hole. Awards are given for Net and Gross low scores. There will be 2 Closest to the Pin awards on each day.
This is a two person event that is conducted in tandem with the MGA event of the same
name and format. The men play from the green tees while the ladies play from tee boxes set by the pro shop forward of their usual front tees. The primary challenge in this event is flag loction although the re-located tee boxes can be a surprise too. Ladies compete in their own division.
